We help people have fun on their next-gen mobile devices. Much of our recent focus has been around iPhone and iPad development, though we also work with Android, WebOS/Palm Pre and Windows Phone 7. Our team has a long history in the web and casual game development space, and has worked with some of the biggest names around.

Our Riptide branded iPhone apps have been downloaded over 2 Million times from the app store, with millions more downloads for our client-branded games.

Brian Robbins : President / Founder

Brian has always been pushing the limits of emerging markets in the industry and loves that he gets to keep playing around with new gadgets all the time. Brian started his career building web-based games and advergames, he also helped establish the casual games industry, and most recently has been entrenched in the hyper-volatile iPhone game space.

Brian is a tireless contributor to the games industry, primarily through his work with the IGDA where he has chaired and co-founded SIGs, promoted local game development community, written numerous white papers and won the IGDA MVP award for his efforts. He is currently chair of the IGDA Board of Directors and a Trustee of the IGDA Foundation.

Brian has programmed over 100 games and still digs into code whenever he gets a chance. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences giving talks on a wide range of topics. He lives in Aurora, CO with his loving wife and beautiful daughter.

Mike Montgomery : Chief Creative Officer

Mike (a.k.a. Monty) has over 10 years experience in the industry. He started out his career building web-based games and advergames before making the transition to mobile.

Mike has always had a strong focus on the gaming industry and has also worked on many web campaigns for companies such as Activision, EA, Eidos, Square Enix, Bandai etc..

Mike has been the lead Art/Creative Director on many games and takes great pride on quality. He is know for being a detail freak, which he feels is an important part of making great games. This has lead to many industry awards including Best Canadian Designer and multiple FWA awards.

As well as being the CCO of Riptide Games, Mike is also a college professor. He has spent the last 3 years teaching design for web and mobile at the college level.

Seth Howard : Sr. Software Architect

Seth joined Riptide Games in 2010. He leads development on nearly all Riptide projects, defining the technical direction and architecture. Prior to getting into the game industry Seth developed web applications.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Adam Jones : Jr. Art Director

Adam (a.k.a Jones) is responsible for overseeing the design team and making sure everything that goes out the door is top notch. Adam posses many skills such as UI design, UX Design, Motion Graphics, Flash animation and Typography.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jayson Flick : Project Manager / Producer

Jayson (a.k.a. Flickster) has been working in the integrated marketing field for over 16 years with experience in some of the best Global Agencies – working on Global Brands. He has been managing game projects since 2004 and keeps the entire team on track throughout development.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Allison Allain: Sr Game Developer

Allison (a.k.a. Ali) has been specializing in iOS applications and games since 2008. She graduated with her B.A. in Computer Science from William Jewell in 2006 and received her MSc by Research in Artificial Neural Networks for Video Games in 2007, graduating with Distinction. Allison has the two best jobs in the world; game developer and rock star.
